รัฐบาลบริสเบน Brisbane City Council เตรียมจัดรถบัสฟรีเส้นทางใหม่ในเขตพื้นที่ South Brisbane คาดจะเริ่มใช้ในต้นปี 2023 หวังช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกให้กับประชาชนในพื้นที่และลดความหนาแน่นของการจราจรในชั่วโมงเร่งด่วน
นายกเทศมนตรีนครบริสเบน Adrian Schrinner เผยข้อมูลโปรเจกเส้นทางรถบัสฟรี South Brisbane Loop ผ่านเฟสบุ๊คเพจของตนเอง โดยระบุว่า.. ช่วงต้นปีหน้าจะมีการทดลองใช้เส้นทางรถบัสฟรีสายใหม่ผ่านเขตพื้นที่สำคัญของ South Brisbane และ West End ระยะเวลา 12 เดือน โดยจะมีจุดรับส่งทั้งหมด 15 ป้าย ผ่านเส้นทาง Tribune Street, Grey Street และ Montague Road หวังช่วยเหลือประชาชนให้เดินทางได้สะดวกยิ่งขึ้นในระหว่างที่รัฐบาลบริสเบนกำลังก่อสร้าง Brisbane Metro ระบบขนส่งสารณะเส้นทางใหม่
"From early next year, we'll be trialling a new free bus loop around South Brisbane and West End’s key residential, local business and entertainment precincts. As construction ramps up on our turn-up-and-go Brisbane Metro project, our 12-month bus loop trial will service 15 stops along Tribune Street, Grey Street and Montague Road to help make it easy for people to get around during peak Brisbane Metro construction. Stay tuned for more information as we work towards rolling out this new free service from early 2023."

ทำให้ในเขตตัวเมืองบริสเบนจะมีรถบัสฟรีเพิ่มเป็น 3 เส้นทาง นอกเหนือจาก City Loop และ Spring Hill Loop ที่ให้บริการอยู่แล้วในขณะนี้
