เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงแคนเบอร์รายื่นพระราชสาสน์ตราตั้งต่อผู้สำเร็จราชการรัฐเอกราชปาปัวนิวกินี

"เมื่อวันที่ 26 กรกฏาคม 2559 นายจิระชัย ปั้นกระษิณ เอกอัครราชทูตประจำรัฐเอกราชปาปัวนิวกินี ได้ยื่นพระราชสาส์นตราตั้งต่อเซอร์ไมเคิล โอจิโอ ผู้สำเร็จราชการรัฐเอกราชปาปัวนิวกินี ตามที่ได้มีพระบรมราชโองการโปรดเกล้าฯ แต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งเอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มประจำรัฐเอกราช ปาปัวนิวกินีอีกตำแหน่งหนึ่ง โดยมีนางกัญญารัตน์ ปั้นกระษิณ ภริยา และนางพรพรรณ จันทร์กระจ่าง ที่ปรึกษา ร่วมพิธีดังกล่าวด้วย

ในโอกาสการเยือนปาปัวนิวกินี ระหว่างวันที่ 25-28 กรกฎาคม 2559 เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้พบหารือข้อราชการกับนายปีเตอร์ โอนีล นายกรัฐมนตรีปาปัวนิวกินี นายอเล็กซิส ไมโน รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ นายอิวาน โพเมด กรรมการผู้จัดการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการลงทุนปาปัวนิวกินี ผู้อำนวยการสภาธุรกิจปาปัวนิวกินี และประธานหอการค้าและอุตสาหกรรมประจำกรุงพอร์ต มอสบี เพื่อหารือและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการขยายความร่วมมือทางการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างกัน นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังมีกำหนดพบหารือกับชุมชนไทยในกรุงพอร์ตมอสบี ซึ่งจัดโดยนายเลาไน ฮิเนา กงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ประจำปาปัวนิวกินีด้วย"

Presentation of Credentials to Governor-General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea

"On 26 July 2016, Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, with residence in Canberra, presented his Letter of Credence and the Letter of Recall of his predecessor to H.E. Grand Chief Sir Michael Ogio, Governor-General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea at the Government House. He was accompanied by Mrs. Kanyaratana Punkrasin, his spouse, and Ms. Pornpan Jankrajang, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy.

During the visit (25-28 July 2016), Ambassador Chirachai paid a courtesy call on Hon. Peter O’Neill, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Mr. Alexis Maino, Deputy Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ivan Pomade, Managing Director Investment Promotion Authority and the Executive Director of the Business Council of Papua New Guinea and the President of the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss and exchange views on trade and investment opportunities between the two countries. He also met with the Thai community in Port Moresby as arranged by Mr. Loani Henao, Honorary Consul General in Papua New Guinea."
